The California man who was separated from his wife in the chaotic moments of Thursday's terrorist attack in Barcelona, Spain, was among the 13 killed at the scene, his family said Friday.

"Next thing I know there's screaming, yelling," Nunes, a 40-year-old teacher, earlier told NBC News. "I got pushed inside the souvenir kiosk and stayed there hiding while everybody kept running by screaming."

The Kinder Care Murders

The Murder Case: Bennett vs. Southern Pacific lost in 1989 when key witness Floyd Brown Jr. was murdered in Concord. The problem was the murder was covered up by Sheriff/Coroner Richard Rainey along with several other hate crimes between 1979 and 1992 when Rainey was elected to a Public Office.

The Murder Case: Pete Bennett performed at Vinnies during open Mic in March 2012. Nate performed as well. A month later he was dead.

The Murder Case: Bennett was arrested several days after the Open Mic where Deputy Vince Jimenez placed a dangerous inmate in his cell and then denied his meds. The other inmate well to fly off handle and take down anyone in site.

James Powell resided in Walnut Creek but grew up in Berkeley. He was with Longs Drugs formerly located on N. Civic Drive Walnut Creek. Jim was a senior IT project manager in charge of the Point of Sale Systems.

Sometime during 2007 while at work during lunch he collapsed in the Rest Room then left in an Ambulance but never returned. His life changing stroke eventually destroyed his family via finances as a side effect of strokes often are dramatic personality changes.
